Ironworks Live Music Venue has teamed up with New Soul City in association with the ICA to bring New Soul City Live to Inverness on the last Friday of every month. New Soul City was put together by Donald McColl at the beginning of the decade with Donald playing classic soul and funk records at the Maple Court Hotel in Inverness and was highly popular until taking a break for a while. Now the popular night returns to Inverness on the last Friday of every month featuring live music from Inverness funk band Leonard Jones Potential who in a short time have supported Dreadzone, The Cuban Brothers, been played by Craig Charles on his BBC6 Music Funk and Soul show and opened the main stage at Belladrum Festival last year.
