Claims to be the oldest bar in Inverness, established in 1841. Really two separate bars; the main Gellions bar and Monty's bar (otherwise known as the Gellions back bar). The main bar has live music pretty regularly and is a pretty traditional pub. The back bar is a real saw dust on the floor, locals-only type place.

Good pub to meet up with your mates and get the craic! Friendly staff, good chilled beer, a great variety of music and was good to see an olf favourite back by popular demand Farmer Dunc! He had the place rocking in their a few weeks ago!
Aint been in ages and wouldnt bother again !! Went to see a couple of mates playing and we were asked to leave as we were whistling our appreciation for the band. Doormen were numptys !! Shame as it appears a good going pub but not for me or my crowd anymore !
Dont know whats happening with the business side of things in Gellions but if our visit last week's anything to go by then Gellions is back among the top Inverness pubs again - excellent crack, good Guinness, really friendly staff, great music too,(Dave Fleming & co from Tain) We had popped in for a pint and ended up staying all night! (Oops).
Well, the place came and went. New owners/leaseholder. Music is pretty much the same tho to be honest for as good as Schiehallion are... do we really need so much echo it sounds like the Kenny guy is singing in a bucket, and the volume so high that even the bodhran being badly thumped with a wooden spoon can be heard all the way back to Nairn? That kinda spoins it a bit, but given the lack of competition then what do people do or where do they go? Got to say a big thumbs up to the staff who cope well and serve promptly on the busy times, though as I have been on regular visits... does the manager have a particularly favourite DJ perhaps??? Try listening to what the punters want instead of giving gigs to m8's an you might get a better selection of disco :) The steakhouse has gone from upstairs which is a pity, but seems to have been co-leased to an Indian type restaurant. Haven't tried it yet so not gonna attempt to knock it or otherwise. All in all, have enjoyed the visit every time and would definitely go again.
Does what is says on the tin - a decent bar centrally located
Hi, Loved the Gellions on Christmas Eve, was great for dancing and the artist pitched it just right. Think its a real friendly, very Scottish pub with good music most of the time, day or night. The staff are lovely and so are the clientele....and yeah we all know Schiehallion are great! Maxine
Best place to be on saturday afternoon for a ceilidh 5-8!!! yes!!
Made a special visit to the Gellions last Friday night to see a band called The Shire. Saw them a few weeks back and wanted to hear them again. Have to say I was very impressed. Shame it wsn't very busy but me and my mate had a great night!
I'm often in here on a Saturday from 5pm to 8pm for the ceilidh. Schiehallion play here every week and it's always heaving!! Give it a try some time - you might just like it!

Place is improving, was in here last sat, disco bros were on and the place was packed to the rafters, busiest i've seen it in a long time, nice to see the toilets getting some much needed work too!
A good pub, tried to be trendy recently and failed.
was here on saturday night had a good laugh, but the staff appeared to have all been suffering from a severe case of face-ache!!
Tried to get in here at 10.30pm on a thursday night and was told by door staff that it was closed!! Strange as I was sure I could see people and space at the bar and distinctly remember the noise of loud music!!
Whats all that about?
Haven't returned just in case it's open for businesss and accepting people!!
It used to be great and open till it closed.
Was in here last Friday night. Had some of the worst music imaginable but was cheap cheap.
