Reasonably large pub about 5 mins walk from the centre of town which is basically a hotel with bar and restaurant. Decent place for a game of pool. For regulars or private functions only.

Was in here on the Thursday for food and the quiz. Food was very good for what it was and treasonably priced. Quiz was a bit strange tho, was I missing the university teams? The guy seemed to be doing it from off the internet? What happened to the funny guy they used to have doin it ages ago? Still, nice place and quite clean, five pool tables, big screens, and a good atmosphere. Like many places, some of the regulars obviously think they run the place. Be warned people, once U let regulars have a say in how U run your pub then Uv lost it, good comments and suggestions from regulars are always welcome in the pub trade, believe me, but when U allow them to have too much of a say and take over then Uv lost it. Would definitely return if in the area. Well done in cleaning the place up.
Food is good, great crack on a sunday afternoon
had a party here food ok but it cost a fortune works out at a pound a sandwich and they forget to tell you when the food is put out
