Annette and Susan may all be very great and good. They weren't that day to refund, serve, even to present a modicum of respectability. The place was empty. No atmosphere and poor MTV music offenending my ears the entire time as I waited for my train.

The lad, this face-f***er - he was there. There's something wrong with this sub-human to consider himself a barman.

If a pint is stale, it's stale, if service is bad, it's bad... If you have ever worked in a pub, even a sheepish smile and a quiet apology and refund or replacement solves almost all problems.

This face-f***er offered none of the above. He argued. I don't even believe the customer is always right, but to have a complaint - then taste the offending drink and say its alright then offer it back...

Well, shame on you Berties Bar still... The worst pub in Inverness.

annette and susan are great, very friendly, and i know the place does get `mystery shopped` from time to time and has done well. As this place once was top notch and i have many happy memories of being there i cannot find it in myself to go as far as some of the comments have done. The prices are pretty high it has to be said.

Has always been, and will always be, one of the worst "dives" in Inverness. The staff couldn't care less and, on the few occasions I've been in, despite the bar being totally dead, it often takes well over 5 minutes to get served. To put it another way, I wouldn't describe the bar staff as the crack commando rapid response unit.

Wooster is it? Are you not face-f****r himself? I bet it is you, you gnawit, the only breed of cross-between gnat & twit - officially the worst insect that doesn't exist! Exclusive to Bertie's Bar.

Have it up ye' trying to protect the name of such an unbelievably bad pub.

I'm always having a guid day sir, Inverness is a truly wonderful place to visit... However...

Bertie's bar is the Antichrist of the Food and Beverage service industry, at least in Inverness. This poor sapped human being obviously works there, don't listen to it... Listen to us, the ones in the know.

Remember - Bad Guinness + Bad Service, ie you want a fork up your anus for a few hours?... Come alone, sing a song, come to Bertie's Bar in Inverness, where nothing will ever go right & you'll be treated like scum.

Anyone who appreciates this place doens't go to the other establishments. Corporal punishment is what they love, and this is why they all go to Berties.

Enjoy it face-f****r, I'll be back one of these days.

Well looks like Lickerskipping must have been having a bad day anyway.
I've never had a problem with Guinness or any other drink in Berties.
I'd also like to assure anyone reading these comments that the staff in Berties are excellent and go out of their way to help with recommendations from places to visit right through to the food menu..........the breakfast is excellent and cooked to order unlike a lot of the eateries in Inverness.
Particularly recommend Susie, Sal, Annette and Lauren as brilliant bar staff - go in and give it a go!!!

Berties bar is a sorry mistake created by some cruel fool to foist poor service and rotten drink to an unsuspecting public fresh off the train there in Inverness.

Had the most rotten guinness ever served... after finding out about my stay in Ireland the barman (face-f****r lets call him) told me "Its different here"

Aye well, went to several places all with better service and better guinness... then to be refused a refund or a replacement by face-f****r just killed the last leg of my otherwise superb trip up there.

Recommend 27, Castle Tavern, Clansman Hotel, just about anywhere in fact that isnt Berties Bar - officially the worst pub in Scotland!

this place died a death after the manageress anne left some years ago. the company ccg who own it and other rail pubs didnt seem to like the fact it made them a mint and had a large and varied amount of regulars. the prices are disgusting. this place used to be hoaching and had some great price deals but the miopic senior management buggered it all up. only occasionally go in now out of sheer morbid curiosity or if time wastin b4 a choo choo. saddest thing to happen to a drinking shop in inverness ever. R.I.P. Bertie wooster.
