Claims to be the oldest bar in Inverness, established in 1841. Really two separate bars; the main Gellions bar and Monty's bar (otherwise known as the Gellions back bar). The main bar has live music pretty regularly and is a pretty traditional pub. The back bar is a real saw dust on the floor, locals-only type place. Also has a steak house restaurant(Mcgonagall's) upstairs which is worth a visit.

Made a special visit to the Gellions last Friday night to see a band called The Shire. Saw them a few weeks back and wanted to hear them again. Have to say I was very impressed. Shame it wsn't very busy but me and my mate had a great night!
