On any particular night, in 9 out of 10 bars I'm the oldest bloke there.

I used to think 'f**k, I'm clearly too old for this', but nowadays I think 'ya beauty, I've outlasted all those old bastards I used to drink with'.

So what makes a good bar for the over 40's?

Well obviously a good age range of customers - I'm fed up drinking in places where I'm automatically assumed to be a dirty old bugger just because everywhere I look I can't help but be leering at girls 25 years younger than me! (many of whom have recently taken to wearing hotpants to add to my problems)

I also like reasonable priced drinks, without the emphasis on a range of poncy 'Strumpfengarter with a hint of Citrus and Rosewater' beers - the type other URBarred contributors seem to like.

And I do like some decent music - the Fumes, Mystic Shoes and Arthur are all good examples.
